Sparta Man Takes a Dallas Bride in Texas
Dr. Benjamin Morrissey of Sparta was married in the Lone Star State this weekend.

A Sparta man had to travel quite far from home to find his mate. Now in his second year as a resident in emergency medicine at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, Calif., Dr. Benjamin R. Morrissey, 28, was married Saturday to another physician, Dr. Lauren Cortell Fine of Dallas. The nuptials were held at the Trinity River Audubon Center in the bride's hometown, the New York Times reported.
Morrissey is the son of Kathy Morrissey, a physical therapist at Sparta Fit for Life. Father Rick Morrissey is a toxicologist and vice president for drug development at Summit-based biopharmaceutical company Celgene.
The groom is a George Washington University graduate and completed his medical degree at the Newark campus of the University of Medicine and Dentistry. His new spouse, 33, a Brown graduate who received her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, practices emergency medicine at at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, the article said.
