Howell Business Group Announces Scholarships To Three Students

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation announced its three student scholarships for 2023.

The foundation awards three $1,000 scholarships per year.

Here are the awardees:

• Seth Friedeman: Howell Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation Chamber Member Scholarship. The Howell High School graduate will be attending the University of Connecticut.
• Hana Frey: Howell Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation Howell Resident Scholarship. The Howell High School graduate will be attending the University of Delaware.
• Emma Colucci: Howell Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation John Blewett Inc. Scrap and Recycling Business Specialty Scholarship. The Freehold Township High School graduate will be attending the University of Maryland.

The Howell Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation always welcomes scholarship donations.

For a donation of $1,000, a member can participate in the chamber's named scholarship program. Donors can name the scholarship, and can pick a particular major that the scholarship winner must be studying. For example, the foundation has the "John Blewett Scrap Metal and Recycling Scholarship," which is open to graduating seniors pursuing a business major.

This year, the Education Foundation began to include applications for students entering into trade schools, it said.

If you are not able to contribute a full scholarship but would like to make a donation, the Education Foundation would be happy to accept any donation. The foundation is not underwritten by the Howell Chamber of Commerce.

The Education Foundation is nonprofit and all donations are tax deductible.
