Here's How Many Bullying Cases Were Reported In Jersey City

New Jersey has released its annual list of harassment, intimidation, and bullying cases by each school district.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Jersey City School District reported 88 harassment, intimidation, and bullying cases for the 2017-18 academic year, numbers recently released by the state shows.

The 88 cases were the ninth most reported by a school district that year.

The district averaged three cases per 1,000 students, which was 413th highest out of 550 school districts in the state.

The Jersey City Golden Door Charter School reported two cases, and average 3.61 cases per 1,000 students, which was 372nd highest in the state.

The Jersey City Global Charter School did not report any bullying incidents.

The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately.
