Hudson County Man Charged With Assaulting Daughter Tries Escaping Country With Her, Mom

A man charged with sexually assaulting his daughter tried to escape with his wife and the young girl to Canada, according to the HCPO.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A Hudson County couple and their daughter were stopped by border patrol trying to enter Canada — the husband had been charged with sexually assaulting his daughter, whom he was trying to flee to Canada with, and a no-contact order was in place against him, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

The identity of the couple was not released to protect the victim. The no-contact order was put in place against the dad after he was arrested earlier this year for sexual assault of the girl when she was seven years old.

Both the father and mother were charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The father, a resident of Harrison, was also charged with disobeying a judicial order.
