'Thundersnow,' Flood Watch, Winter Storm Warning: What To Expect In Hudson County Tuesday
See the new prediction for how much snow Hoboken and Jersey City will get by the end of Tuesday.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The latest forecast for the snowstorm on Tuesday says as much as 8 inches of snow may fall by the end of the day.
There may even be some "thundersnow," forecasters say.
"Snow accumulations of up to 8 inches are forecasted. Winds gust as high as 40 miles per hour are also forecasted," said new guidance from the city of Hoboken sent out in the morning.

The NWS predicted for the area: "Snow, possibly mixing with rain after 1 p.m., then gradually ending. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 39. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Breezy."
The winter storm warning runs from 4 a.m. on Tuesday through 6 p.m. A coastal flood advisory is also in effect until noon Tuesday.

Public schools in both Hoboken and Jersey City are closed Tuesday, due to the forecast and to the expected timing of the storm.
