Italian Sandwich Restaurant To Hold Soft Opening In Downtown Jersey City Monday

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Five months ago, the owner of The Sicilian Guy, an Italian sandwich shop in Bayonne, said they were saying goodbye.
Their new project, a shop in downtown Jersey City, is set to hold its soft opening Monday, they said in a more recent post.
They plan to open at 11 a.m. and stay open each day 11-8, but will be closed on Sundays.

Customers said they'd miss the shop in Bayonne, but hungry Jersey City residents said they can't wait for the new store. One patron noted that years ago, the shop started as a food truck in Jersey City.

The shop was noted for chicken parmigiana sandwiches, meatballs, pasta, pastries, and a popular soup.
The Sicilian guy will be located at 211 Newark Ave. in Jersey City.
