• NJ Science Center steps in to save stranded baby terrapins (nj1015.com) — Liberty Science Center in Jersey City is caring for five rescued diamondback terrapin hatchlings from Long Beach Island through the winter before releasing them back to the shore in spring. The turtles will be housed in the “Our Hudson Home” exhibit area, tying their rescue to education about Hudson River wildlife and local ecosystem conservation for visiting families.
