“I’m with Joel 100 percent. I live here in Ward B - and I have seen our communities not get the attention they need from City Hall over the past four years. I know Joel - he’s a fighter, he’s a leader, and I know he has what it takes to deliver a west side for all. On the City Council, we will stand up to deliver renovated schools, affordable housing, and accountable leadership for the west side. I am going to be voting 3C on my ballot for Joel Brooks.”

Brooks reciprocated, saying:

“Chris Gadsden is the independent leader the West Side needs. From his work in the community ensuring our kids get a good education, to his fight ensuring that everyone is tested equitably in Jersey City, to his work at City Hall, Chris has always been a Progressive and independent leader. We can’t afford four more years of a rubber stamp city council. I will be voting for Chris early on ballot line 5B, and I encourage everyone to do the same.”

With election season in full swing, 24 candidates filed and made it onto November's ballot. There are eight open spots on the City Council and the race of Mayor. New Jersey votes early from Oct. 23-31, and on Nov. 2nd. In addition to the Mayoral and City Council elections, voters will be selecting the Governor and State Legislators for the state of New Jersey.
