Jersey City Taxi Operators Charged With Insurance Fraud
A four-month investigation revealed they were operating with uninsured and unregistered vehicles and drivers.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Three taxi operators in Jersey City were charged with insurance fraud after a four-month-long investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office revealed they were operating with uninsured and unregistered vehicles and drivers.
Aziz Ibrahim, 63, of Jersey City, was charged with second-degree Insurance Fraud in and Conspiracy to Commit Insurance Fraud in the third degree. Michael Ibrahim, 23, of Jersey City, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Insurance Fraud in the third degree, and Perjury in the third degree. Theresa Ibrahim, 47, of Jersey City, was charged with two counts of third-degree Insurance Fraud.
The three defendants are scheduled to make their first appearance in Hudson County Superior
Court on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

The taxi companies operated by the Ibrahim’s include A1 City Corp., 4M Enterprises Inc. and
AAA City Bergen Inc. utilizing phone numbers (201) 433-6100 and (201) 432-1111.
According to the HCPO, none of the companies above had any vehicles that were lawfully registered with the City of Jersey City. The investigation included undercover airport rides by law enforcement and found that vehicles being dispatched by the companies were not legally insured and that the vehicles were being driven by unregistered drivers.
