Jersey City Worker Electrocuted, Injures Hands and Toes
The incident happened on Pauls Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A worker was electrocuted while on the job in Jersey City and sustained injuries to his hands and toes.
City Spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said the man was operating a power lift on St. Pauls Avenue when the incident happened. The 29-year-old was taken to the hospital.
OSHA was called and responded. The contractor provided proof of permits for construction but was issued a summons for sidewalk closure without a permit and a summons for no signage for the sidewalk closure, Wallace-Scalcione said.
