Major Hudson County Road Closed For 'Police Activity'

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A major road through Hudson County was closed due to "police activity" on Friday afternoon, said a county spokesperson.

Around 3 p.m., a spokesperson for the County Executive's Office forwarded a social media post saying that John F. Kennedy Blvd. in Jersey City is closed in both directions from Cledenny Ave. to Communipaw Ave.

The road runs through the western edge of the city, extending to Route 9 and two miles from the Pulaski Skyway to Newark.

The spokesperson said no further information will be made available at this time.

"Please plan accordingly," the note said. "We will keep you updated as we know more information."
