Motorcyclist, 43, Dies In Crash In Hudson County: Prosecutor

A motorcyclist, 43, died in a crash near Route 9 in Jersey City on Thursday, prosecutors said.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A 43-year-old Jersey City man died in a crash with another vehicle near Routes 1 & 9 on Thursday morning, prosecutors said Friday.

Police responded to a report of a crash just before 9 a.m. and found that Steven Brown's motorcycle collided with a GMC passenger vehicle near the intersection of Sip Avenue and Routes 1 & 9, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.

Brown was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 10 a.m., prosecutors said.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating, they said.

They did not say whether anyone has been summonsed in the crash.
