Person Found Dead In Hudson River In Jersey City, Police Say
A person was pulled out of the Hudson River in Jersey City on Sunday, police said.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Police pulled a person out of the Hudson River in Jersey City on Sunday night and performed CPR, but the person did not survive, a city spokesperson said.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday, first responders pulled a person out of the water near a pier and brought them ashore, said city spokesperson Kim Wallace-Scalcione.
Emergency workers began CPR, but it appeared the person appeared to be "dead on arrival," she said.

Jersey City’s police and fire departments were at the scene, and the New York Police Department and Port Authority helped out, she said.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Monday that the Jersey City police are the lead investigating agency and did not comment further.
