Vigils At Sen. Menendez's Jersey City Office Start Tonight For A Pathway To Citizenship

The planned vigils demand Congress ensure a pathway to citizenship in the budget reconciliation package.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A series of vigils will start on Tuesday night in front of Senator Bob Menendez's Jersey City office advocating for a pathway to citizenship in the budget reconciliation package.

Make the Road New Jersey planned nightly vigils starting at 7 p.m. from Tuesday through Thursday outside the senator's office to demand Congress ensure a pathway to citizenship in the budget reconciliation package.

In their own words, Make the Road New Jersey said vigil attendees, " Will also call on The Biden Administration to immediately stop the mass expulsion of Haitians, end systemic racist immigrations policies that demonize Black people, and to restore a fair process to seek asylum."
