Threats Continue For Second Day At Jersey City High School
A student vowed to "shoot the school" in a text posted to Instagram on Tuesday.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — For a second day, Dickinson High School has threatened by a student. A student vowed to “shoot the school” Tuesday in a text message that was posted on Instagram, school district official confirmed to The Jersey Journal.
On Monday, a Jersey City teen was taken into custody and police had extra patrols near Dickinson High School after threats were made over the weekend online targeting Egyptian students.
No incidents of violence were reported over the past two days but a heavy police presence remains after the anonymous Instagram messages surface. A photo of the text was posted to Instagram late Monday night. The text reads:

“Y’all didn’t see me today in school but I am telling the whole school right now that tomorrow, December 14…I’m going to shoot the school …may god be with you…"
At Monday night's Board of Education meeting, Board President Mussab Ali said "half" of the student body wasn't in school Monday.
A robocall was sent to Dickinson High School parents on Tuesday from Principal Gekson Casillas notifying them of the threat and asking parents to remind their children that "The statements that they make on social media can be traced and may lead to unnecessary consequences.”
