Thunderstorms, Inch Of Rain Monday For Jersey City: See When It Starts

Memorial Day will start dry, but heavy rain is expected later. See when the onslaught will hit and if there's a flood possibility.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The string of 80 degree days are likely to break up on Memorial Day with thundershowers in the evening, particularly around 8 p.m. Monday.

The National Weather Service expects as much of an inch of rain to fall Monday after 5 p.m. A flood watch had not been issued as of this writing, but the big concern may be the 12:24 a.m. high tide of 4.9 feet early Tuesday.

The bulk of the rain is likely to end by 2 a.m., the NWS says. See the forecast here.
