Louie Migliara prides …And A Cherry On Top as a “neighborhood store.”

The Italian specialty shop and pizzeria was opened by the Barnegat resident, who owned a similar store for 16 years up north.

“I thought Lacey was in need of a good Italian specialty store,” Migliara said. 

…And A Cherry On Top sells bakery items, pastries, bread, pizza, ravioli, espresso, ice cream, bagels and more. Everything is homemade, Migliara said.

“It’s what you can find,” he said. “It has everything you need here.”

Service is based on friendliness and hospitality, Migliara said.

“It’s a neighborhood store where they know your name, not just your number,” he said.

Migliara, formerly of Newark, said locals have been responding very well to the store.

The store, which has a dining area, also offers catering.

…And A Cherry On Top is located at 1015 Lacey Road in Forked River and can be reached at 609-549-5148. Hours of operation are as follows: 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
