Aug. 2: Sand Sculpting Contest, Tales from Beyond, Movie on the Beach

1. There’s a sand sculpting contest at the beach on 25th Street in Barnegat Light at 2 p.m.

2. The library is hosting a birthday party for Sparks at 4 p.m. Children and their families are invited.

3. Presenter Charles Francis will be sharing his collection of creepy artifacts at 7 p.m. at the library. This event is open to children and teens ages 11 to 17 years old.

4. There is a Fish Hawks Saltwater Anglers meeting at the Lacey Elks Lodge in Forked River at 7:30 p.m.

5. The Muppets movie will be showing on the Hiering Avenue beach in Seaside Heights at dusk.
