Forked River Man Facing Heroin, Non-Support Charges
Douglas G. Kern, 52, arrested after motor vehicle stop, Lacey police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man on a non-support warrant of $11,261.42 and possession of heroin, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officer Daniel Ricciardella conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Haines Street area at 7:09 p.m. on Nov. 22. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of passenger Douglas G. Kern, 52, Norwood Street, Forked River, on four outstanding warrants, the chief said.
The first two warrants were for $250 and $500 out of Lacey Township Municipal Court for municipal ordinance offenses. The third was from Long Beach Township Municipal Court. The fourth was the non-support warrant issued by the Ocean County Sheriff's Department.

Ricciardella and Officer Anthony Sarno also discovered several wax folds on Kern believed to be heroin. he as charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kern was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of bail for the outstanding warrants, the chief said.
