July 31: Lifeguard Tournament, T-Shirt Tuesday, Movie on the Bay

1. There is a Lifeguard in Training Tournament at 68th Street on Long Beach Island at 9 a.m.

2. Kids ages 8 to 12 can bring a white t-shirt to the to make designs with spry tie-dye at 2 p.m. Dress to get messy.

3. If you’ve had a problem with a purchase or repairman, stop by the County Connection in Toms River from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A representative from the Ocean County Consumer Affairs Department will be available.

4. The Sound of Music is playing at the Surflight Theater at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission is $36.

5. Puss in Boots will be showing at the Lavallette Gazebo on Bay Boulevard and Philadelphia Avenue at 8:30 p.m.
