Lacey Halloween Skate Park Night Coming Up On Friday

The Halloween costume contest will start a 8 p.m., prizes will be awarded, police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The next Gille Park Skate Park event will have a distinctly ghoulish tone to it.

The theme of the Nov. 3 event is Halloween, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

The skate park will be open 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a Halloween costume contest at 8 p.m..

"There will be first, second, and third place prizes for the best dressed costume, which will be provided by the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, the Lacey Township Recreation Department and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance," the chief said.

The skate park will have a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey police with assistance from local fire departments. Both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will also be on the scene.

A mobile gaming trailer provided by “Party Crashers” will be at the skate park from 7 p.m. to 9p.m. Age appropriate games will be available for the kids. The “Party Crashers” mobile gaming trailer has participated in prior Lacey Day Events, and in numerous events throughout Ocean County.

The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park. Tom and Dee’s Italian Ice will be on location.
