Lacey Man Busted For Intent To Distribute Meth: Prosecutor
The man was found with about 150 grams of methamphetamine, prosecutors said.

LACEY, NJ — A Lacey man was charged Thursday with intent to distribute methamphetamine, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.
Authorities conducted surveillance on Jason Close in Toms River on Thursday. Jason Close, 41, was found with about 150 grams of methamphetamine, the OCPO said.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and Toms River Township police arrested Close without incident.

During a court-authorized search of Close’s home in Forked River, authorities seized a quantity of marijuana, packaging material indicative of distribution purposes and about $780 in cash.
Close was charged with possession of methamphetamine, intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Close was processed at Toms River Township Police Headquarters and taken to the Ocean County Jail where he is currently lodged pending a detention hearing.
Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Lacey Police Department Narcotics Unit, Lacey Police Detective Bureau, Brick Police Crime Reduction Unit, Toms River Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit assisted in the arrest of Close.
