Lacey Police Charge Man Found Sleeping In Running Car With Heroin Possession

Andrew Plenge, 40, of Manahawkin found asleep at intersection, police chief says.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Police recently arrested a Manahawkin man and charged him with heroin possession after he was found sleeping in a car with the motor running at an intersection, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Jason Lee responded to the intersection of Tampa Road and Clubhouse Drive at 4:33 p.m. on Oct. 13. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Andrew Plenge, 40, Jennifer Lane, the chief said.

Plenge was taken to police headquarters where he was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail to await a bail hearing, DiBella said.
