Lacey Police Charge Toms River Man With Drunk Driving After He Blew Through A Red Light

Michael A Nazare, 41, was arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police recently arrested a Toms River man for drunk driving after he went through a red light at the intersection of Taylor Lane and Route 9, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Michael Baldasari was on patrol at 1:04 a.m. on Oct. 6 when he spotted a vehicle go through the red light. He conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the Bay Harbour Motor Lodge on Route 9 South in Forked River, the chief said.

Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Michael A. Nazare, 44, Standford Court West in Toms River for driving under the influence. Nazare was taken to police headquarters, where he was also charged with reckless driving and failure to observe a traffic signal, DiBella said.

The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
