Lanoka Harbor Man Released from Hospital After Stabbing

A Lanoka Harbor man who was allegedly stabbed on Friday, May 25 was discharged from a trauma center in Trenton the following day, spokesperson Daniel MacNeill said.

Anthony Rosetti, 49, was airlifted by MONOC to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton after suffering lacerations to the chest. Police had responded to a Meadowlark Drive home at approximately 8:12 p.m. on a report of a possible stabbing.

between the Lacey Township Police Department, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Criminalistics Investigation Unit and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office led to the arrest of 20 year-old Kyle Reinghaus. Reinghaus is also a resident of the same home as Rosetti, Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Rosetti was involved in a relationship with Reinghaus’s mother, who also resides at the Meadowlark Drive address, Ford's release said.

Reinghaus was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and aggravated assault. "The weapon is believed to be a sword," said Ford.

Reinghaus’s bail was set at $35,000 with no 10-percent option by Judge Francis R. Hodgson, Jr., according to authorities.

Residents were shocked by the report of a stabbing in their neighborhood, describing the road as “quiet,” neighbor Kathleen Minniti of Meadowlark Drive The street is at its busiest during Memorial Day Weekend.

“This street never had any commotion," Minniti said. “We saw the cops running up to the house saying, ‘Open up, open up.’ “

Nick Granberg of Lanoka Harbor was outside smoking a cigarette when he noticed the police cars, which led him to tell the neighbors.

“I was trying to leave but I wasn’t allowed,” he said. “I think that’s one of the scariest things ever.

“Something like that could happen in this town?” he said. “It’s outrageous.”

Lanoka Harbor EMS, Lanoka Harbor First Response Team, Lacey Township Police Department, Ocean County Sheriffs Department, MONOC Paramedics and MONOC Air One responded to the scene.
