Lanoka Harbor Man Rescued From Pool Released From Hospital
Police responded to a 911 call on Sunday, July 8 after a Lanoka Harbor woman reported that her husband had been submerged within their pool

The Lanoka Harbor man who hospitalized after being rescued from a residential pool has been discharged, Jersey Shore University Medical Center spokesperson Maureen Gillespie said.
James Carlo, 77, was in critical condition for nearly a week after he was found submerged in his Nautilus Boulevard pool on Sunday, July 8. Carlo was discharged on Friday, July 20.
on July 8 after Carlo’s wife reported that Carlo had been submerged within their pool.

Carlo was floating on a raft in the shallow end of the in-ground pool when he fell off while momentarily unattended. He was found submerged in the deep end of the pool.
Patrolman Keith Pearce rescued Carlo from the pool. Pearce along with Officers Darrell Nick and Special Officer Richard Smialowicz performed CPR and reestablished a pulse.

Carlo was airlifted by MONOC One to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. As of Monday, Carlo was still listed in critical condition.
Lanoka Harbor EMS, MONOC Medics, the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department and the Lacey Township Diving Team assisted at the scene.
