1 Dead In Mercer County Crash Monday Morning: State Police

A PA man sustained fatal injuries after changing lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike early Monday morning, state police said.

HAMILTON, NJ - A Pennsylvania man sustained fatal injuries after changing lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike early Monday morning, state police said.

The crash took place at around 5:19 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound on the inner roadway milepost 58.8 in Hamilton Township, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police told Patch.

An initial investigation found that a Honda driver, identified as Abdenour Rekik, a 41-year-old of Philadelphia, P.a., was traveling north on the New Jersey Turnpike in the center lane when he changed lanes from the center lane to the right lane and collided with a Ford vehicle.

Rekik sustained fatal injuries; the driver of the Ford was uninjured, the spokesperson said.

The crash remains under investigation.
