Applications Being Accepted for 4-Year-Old Preschool Program

is now accepting applications for the district’s 4-year-old preschool program. This is a comprehensive program that services typically-developing, low income and special needs 4-year-old children.

Classes will meet for six and one-half hours per day, five days per week. The 4-year-old class will be limited to 16 children. Special needs students will be placed in the program by identification, evaluation and eligibility procedures as outlined in the New Jersey Administrative Code.

Placement for eight (8) typically developing children will be based on a lottery to be held on March 26. Tuition cost for this program is $800 per month.

Eligibility for this program requires that children must be at least 4 years of age and no older than 5 on or before Oct. 1, 2012, must be a resident of Lawrence Township, and must be toilet trained.

Preschool lottery applications are available at the , Ben Franklin Elementary School main office, or online at www.ltps.org/StudentRegistration.

Applications must be completed and returned to Pamela Hernandez, Department of Student Services, 2565 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648, no later than March 22.
