Artists Wanted for Lawrence Arts Council Annual Exhibit
The Lawrence Arts Council's annual art exhibit will be held May 6 to June 2 at the Lawrence Library.

The Lawrence Arts Council will hold its annual art exhibit from May 6 to June 2 in the gallery of the .
The council promotes the arts in Lawrence Township through school and community events, conducts visits to museums and historic sites, and funds art activities for all ages.
The council is currently looking for artists to participate in the annual exhibit. While the exhibit is not a “juried show” it is limited to members only.

Anyone wishing to join the Lawrence Arts Council can find a membership application in the media box to the right. Applications accompanied by the membership fee should be sent to Lawrence Arts Council, P.O. Box 6615, Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648.
A booklet will be printed for the opening reception which will be held on May 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. Artists are asked to submit details of their work by April 13 so it can be included in the booklet.

Submission details are as follows:
- Only two pieces of work can be accepted from each artist due to limited space. Work should not exceed 24 inches by 36 inches if two are to be exhibited.
- All media will be accepted since no separate categories are planned.
- All paintings must be framed and wired for hanging. Mark center of back – 2 ½” below top of frame. This will help us in hanging your work neatly.
- Sculptures must have stands for each piece entered. We also have a showcase for any small displays.
- Entries should include three entry labels – one attached to back of work – another as your claim slip – third for the arts council records.
- The Lawrence Arts Council will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any works submitted for exhibit. Personal insurance is highly recommended and is the sole responsibility of the artist.
- Although there is no entry fee, we do request 10 percent from any sales resulting from this exhibit as your donation toward our scholarship fund. A price list will be available at the opening only.
- Art exhibit – May 6 to June 2, 2012
- All work should be delivered on Saturday, May 5, between 10 a.m. and noon to the Lawrence Library.
- Opening reception will be on Sunday, May 6, in the gallery of the library from 2 to 4 p.m.
- All work must be claimed on Saturday, June 2, between 10 a.m. and noon unless special arrangements are made.
- The arts council will not be responsible for work unclaimed after that date.
