Cleanup of D & R Canal to be Held Jan. 22

The volunteer cleanup effort is being organized by the nonprofit Delaware & Raritan Canal Watch.

The Delaware & Raritan Canal Watch will hold a cleanup effort in the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park in South Bound Brook on Sunday, Jan. 22. 

Join members of the Canal Watch in the effort to keep the park a beauty spot in central New Jersey.

Meet 10 a.m. at Lock 11 parking lot, Canal Road, in South Bound Brook, approximately across from the South Bound Brook Post Office (11 Madison St.).  Bring gloves.

Canal Watch board member Bob Barth will conduct the cleanup effort.
