Employment Outreach Event to be Held Jan. 21

This free event aims to help job seekers stay motivated in their search, offers interview tips and money management strategies, and provides latest information on networking and social media.

Job loss can be a harrowing experience, and in 2011 Princeton Community Church began conducting twice-monthly support groups for people affected by the unemployment crisis.

Now PCC is extending its reach even further by hosting its first Employment Outreach Event on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 2300 Pennington Rd. (Route 31) in Pennington.

This free Employment Outreach Event promises to be an upbeat, informative conference that aims to help job seekers stay motivated in their search, offers interview tips and money management strategies, and provides latest information on networking and social media.  

The conference features the keynote discussion, "Seven Ways to Stay Motivated" by Sandy Schussel and additional career-building, skills-training, and getting-employed conference presentation topics that include:

Lunch, entertainment, skits, live music, and door prizes are provided by Princeton Community Church to registered participants. The day’s agenda is:

  •  8 a.m. Registration opens: networking, coffee, doughnuts
  •  8:30 a.m. Opening session and keynote speech
  • 10-11 a.m. Conference sessions
  • 11:45 a.m. Lunch by Hopewell Bistro
  • 12:30 p.m. Closing session with skit, music, and door prizes
  • All day: support, advice, community, skills building
