Lawrenceville CEO Bikes the US for MS
Owner of Cooper Pest Solutions and BedBug Central spending summer raising thousands of dollars for charity.
For the second summer in a row, a Lawrenceville business owner will be putting his best foot forward to help people in need.
Phil Cooper, owner of Cooper Pest Solutions and BedBug Central in Lawrenceville, has teamed with the Bike the US for MS Northern Tier riders to cycle from Montana to Seattle with the team. Cooper has been a supporter of the National MS Society for decades and has participated in charitable events for Multiple Sclerosis since the 1980’s.
"Since graduating from college in 1984 I circled the summer of 2012 on the calendar as the year I would ride cross country on my bike," Cooper wrote on his fundraising web site. "My wife, Laura, and I have looked forward to this moment for 22 years and it is hard to believe the time has arrived."Phil’s Summer of Cycling has Cooper dividing his time as he’s on a two month sabbatical from work to raise money for five different charities. Last summer, Cooper rode from Virginia to San Francisco during June and August, raising nearly $50,000.Â
"I am thrilled to be joining up with the Bike the US for MS organization again this summer," Cooper said. "The group of full time riders have already welcomed us into the 'family' and I’m excited to make new friends, challenge myself and learn from others along the way."
