New Taxiway Opens At Trenton-Mercer Airport
The construction of the taxiway was paid for using a combination of State, Federal and County funds.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A new taxiway was inaugurated this week at the Trenton-Mercer Airport. Mercer County Executive Dan Benson and elected officials from Mercer County were present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The construction of the Parallel Taxiway Delta was completed over several construction seasons and paid for using a combination of State, Federal and County funds.
By running the taxiway parallel to the main runway, the design allows for direct entry to the runway reducing “hot spots” and safety concerns caused by runway crossover. The design and completion bring the taxiway into compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration’s standards.
