Obituary: Mary Catherine Tuccillo, 93

Former Lawrence Township resident moved to Virginia in 2000.

Mary Catherine Tuccillo, 93, of Alexandria, Va., died Friday at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Alexandria.

Born in Trenton she was a resident of Lawrence Township for many years. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church in Trenton and several Lawrence Township Senior Clubs prior to her move to Alexandria in 2000.

Mary was formerly employed as a sales associate with the Dunham’s Department Store in the Lawrence Shopping Center and retired in 1980 after 10 years of service.

She enjoyed many hobbies, particularly, creating custom designed clothing for friends and family. Also, she was president of the Resident Council at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Daughter of the late Guissepe and Rosaria Ognibene Scozzaro and wife of the late Frank G. Tuccillo, Mary is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie D. Tuccillo of Hainesport, N.J.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Anne Tuccillo of Alexandria, Va.; and two grandsons, Patrick and Bryan Tuccillo both of Alexandria, Va.

Mary’s funeral will held on Wednesday, March 28, beginning at 8:30 a.m. from , 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, E. Paul Ave., Trenton. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
