Saint Ann Students Learn About Bicycle Safety

Although Bike Safety Month isn't until May, the early onset of warm weather has the students at Saint Ann School gearing up already. School Nurse Mary Arcidipane recently invited a special visitor to prepare the children as they rev up to ride their bikes this season.
Nancy Distelcamp, RN, CEN, is the injury prevention coordinator at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Trauma Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. She spoke to Saint Ann third-graders about how to ride safely and prevent injury.

All of the children took home bike helmets that were fitted to each of their heads during the safety session.
