Saturday's Memorial Day Parade Road Closures In Lawrence

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — The Lawrence Township Annual Memorial Day Parade will take place Saturday.

The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. from Lawrence High School. It will proceed north on Princeton Pike to Darrah Lane, Turn left onto Darrah Lane, Left onto Birchwood Knoll, Left onto Berwyn Place and conclude at Veteran’s Park.

  • Road Closures During Parade: Princeton Pike (between Gainsboro Road & Darrah Lane), Darrah Lane (entire length), Birchwood Knoll (entire length) and Berwyn Place (entire length)
  • There will be no parking along the parade route. Signs will be posted prohibiting parking.
  • Vehicles not removed before 8 a.m. on Saturday will be towed and storage costs at the owner’s expense.
  • As the end of the parade passes through, the streets will be reopened for parking.

This year, Paul Tweedly, retired captain of Trenton NJ Fire Department and the owner of Captain Paul’s’s Firehouse Dogs will be the grand marshal.

As the owner of Captain Paul’s Firehouse Dogs Tweedly has made a significant impact by supporting various organizations and fundraising efforts.

At the conclusion of the parade at Veterans Park, there will be a ceremony that will feature music from the Lawrence Township Community Band, a cannon salute and wreath-laying.

Marching in the parade will be the Lawrence Police Department, Fire Departments, EMS, and Public Works Department along with non-profit organizations, marching bands, school groups, military groups and others.

Free hot dogs and water will be served.
