Storage Wars: Lawrence Township

Similar to what goes on in the reality TV show "Storage Wars," several Public Storage facilities in the area - including the one in Lawrence Township - on Jan. 25 will auction off the contents of storage lockers whose owners have failed to pay their bills

Have you ever watched “Storage Wars,” the popular TV series on the A&E Network that follows several professional auction buyers as they bid on the unknown contents of storage lockers whose owners have failed to pay their rental bills?

Have you ever thought to yourself “I could do that!” while watching Dave Hester, Darrell Sheets, Barry Weiss and the other auction bidders sort through the contents of the lockers they win to see what they might be able to resell to make a profit?

Well, now is your chance. You can even call it “Storage Wars: Lawrence Township” if you want.

According to a legal notice published recently in the local newspapers, the at 2629 Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1) in Lawrence Township at noon tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 25, will “sell to satisfy the lien of owner at public sale by competitive bidding” the contents of three storage lockers.

The personal property stored in the three lockers (with the name of the owners who failed to pay) are described in the legal notice as follows:

  • G031, Todd Phillips: appliances, furniture, boxes
  • J009, Alice Small: bages, boxes, totes
  • J022, Britany Beard: bedding, boxes, totes

Winning bidders must make payment in cash, in full, at the time of the sale. “All goods are sold as is and must be removed at the time of purchase. Sale is subject to adjournment,” the legal notice states.

At least three other Public Storage facilities in the area are holding similar auctions on Wednesday, Jan. 25. According to other legal notices:

  • the Public Storage facility at 1411 Parkside Ave. in Ewing Township will auction the contents of 17 lockers beginning at 11:30 a.m.; contents include bedding, books, boxes, electronics, furniture, tools and toys.  
  • the Public Storage facility at 3828 Quakerbridge Rd. in Hamilton Township will auction the contents of three lockers beginning at 12:30 p.m.; contents include bags, boxes, electronics and furniture.
  • the Public Storage facility at 68 Groveville Rd. in Bordentown Township will auction the contents of four lockers beginning at 1 p.m.; contents include bedding, boxes, clothing, electronics, furniture and tools.
