Tax Increase Referendum to be Discussed at Forum Monday

During the Lawrence Township chapter of the League of Women Voters forum on March 12, Lawrence Township Manager Richard Krawczun will discuss the 2012 municipal budget and the municipal tax increase referendum that will take place on April 17.

During a special public forum that will take place on Monday (March 12), Lawrence Township Manager Richard Krawczun will discuss the 2012 municipal budget and the municipal tax increase referendum that will take place on April 17.  

The forum, which is being sponsored by the Lawrence Township chapter of the League of Women Voters, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Township headquarters branch of the Mercer County Library at 2751 Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1) at the corner of Darrah Lane East.

“The LWVLT is proud to sponsor this informative public forum on spending and tax rates in Lawrence Township,” league chapter President Susan Varga said. “Attendees will hear first hand from our township manager, Richard Krawczun, on how their tax dollars are being used and why the voters will be asked to vote on raising the property tax cap. We encourage residents to come to this presentation to learn about our township's spending and revenues.”
