Troop 28 Conducts ‘Court Of Honor’ Ceremony

Thirty-one merit badges were passed out during the ceremony held earlier this month.

Boy Scouts Troop 28 conducted its spring Court of Honor March 16 at the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church. Six Scouts earned a total of 31 merit badges that were presented by Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Garrett Monfre and Senior Patrol Leader Noah Hotz at the formal ceremony and dessert.

  • Grant Gallagher: Camping, Citizenship in the World, Disability Awareness, Fire Safety, First Aid
  • David Horne: Disability Awareness, Electricity, Fire Safety
  • Kyle Jorgensen: Crime Prevention, Disability Awareness, Electricity, Fire Safety, First Aid, Personal Fitness
  • Evan Monfre: Citizenship in World, Computers Cooking, Disability Awareness, Fingerprinting, First Aid
  • Garrett Monfre: Chess, Citizenship in the Community, Computers, Family Life, Personal Fitness, Personal Management
  • Ryan Morris: Crime Prevention, Disability Awareness, Electricity, Fire Safety, First Aid, Personal Fitness

The Boy Scouts of America recognizes scout achievements by awarding badges of rank, and during the Court of Honor, Grant Gallagher earned the rank of First Class; David Horne, Second Class; Evan  Monfre, Second Class and First Class; and Ryan Monfre, Second Class and First Class.

Adult Leaders recognized for their service were Committee Chairman Larry Fox, 16 years; and Assistant Scoutmaster Cliff Reed, 32 years.

Troop 28 is open to boys who have completed fifth grade, and meets Friday nights from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Troop Cabin at . Boys need not have been involved in Scouting to join.
