Woods, Old Factory Lot Searched for Burglary Suspects

Lawrence Township police spent several hours Thursday (March 1) searching for two young men who allegedly burglarized a home on Pilgrim Avenue.

A resident of the home reportedly ran after one of the burglars, who fled into the woods surrounding the township’s John Nash Memorial Park on Ohio Avenue.

The crime was reported to police about 5:15 p.m. The suspects were described as being about 16 to 19 years old.

Police dogs from Lawrence and Trenton were used to search the abandoned Saturn Chemical property, located at the end of New York Avenue behind the woods into which the one suspect was last seen running.
