Admitted Child Molester Continues to Work With Kids in Colts Neck

Despite a court order to refrain from working in any capacity with children, Rev. Michael Fugee allegedly continues to work unofficially at the St. Mary's Parish in Colts Neck with youth groups.

According to The Star Ledger, Fugee confessed in 2001 to groping a 14-year-old boy while working at the Church of St. Elizabeth in Wyckoff. 

As a result, Fugee was put on 5 years probation and underwent therapy. Fugee also signed a binding agreement to stop any work with children, in any capacity.

However, The Ledger reports Fugee has been seen on youth retreats in Marlboro where he allegedly heard young children and teen's confessions in private.

St. Mary's Responds to Parishioners

Newark Archbishop John J. Myers has reportedly approved Fugee's actions, but after a call from The Star Ledger the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the possibility of the broke court order.

A document supplied online by The Star Ledger indicates Fugee's court order detailed no unsupervised contact with children.
