Convicted Stalker Arrested on Charges of Stalking Marlboro Police Officer

Carlton Griggs, also known as Carlton Jones, was arrested for allegedly stalking a female Marlboro Police Department Detective over a period of time.

Griggs allegedly stalked a Marlboro Detective over the phone with two separate numbers. Griggs would allegedly call the detective pretending to be a female victim of stalking, and would also call from a separate number pretending to be the stalker.

Griggs, 29 of Lake Hiawatha, allegedly made threats toward the detective, putting her in fear for her life, according to county arrest records.

An investigation including phone record subpoenas revealed Griggs' real name and that he was the owner of both phone numbers.

Further investigation revealed Griggs is on probation for allegedly stalking another officer in Pennsylvania.

Griggs is charged with two counts of stalking while on probation, contempt of court and being a fugitive of justice. He is currently in the Monmouth County Jail on $120,000 bail with no ten percent option.
