Marlboro Hits Top 350 in Newsweek High School Rankings

Last year, Marlboro was ranked 454 in the nation.

Marlboro High School ranked in the top 350 schools in the country, according to Newsweek and The Daily Beast.

Marlboro, which was recently left off of the U.S. News and World Report top high schools ranking, earned the 343 spot of 2,000 ranked schools.

According to the report, Marlboro has a 99 percent graduation rate with 95 percent of those students college bound. The average SAT score was 1695, average ACT score a 24.3 and the average AP score a 4.1.

Last year, Marlboro was ranked 454 in the nation according to Newsweek.

Newsweek rankings use the four-year graduation rate, college acceptance rate, college-level tests (ex. AP tests) taken per student, the average score of those tests, the average SAT or ACT scores and the percentage of students enrolled in at least one AP course.

In New Jersey, High Tech High in Lincroft topped the Newsweek list with a ranking of 16th nationally. High Tech High was left off the list last year, because their administration said they never received the survey.

Biotechnology High School, which ranked 8 in the U.S. News and World Report national rankings, ranked 24 in Newsweek.
