Marlboro District Prepared for State Funding to Remain the Same

After last years 6.8 percent increased, state aid in the Marlboro district remains the same this year.

Marlboro schools are receiving $11.5 million for the 2013-14 school year, according to recent state aid numbers released by the the governor's office. The funding is a zero percent increase from the 2012-13 aid.

Marlboro Township District Business Administrator Cindy Barr-Rague said the township had budgeted to receive the same amount of aid as the prior year, so state funding fits with the district's projection.

 from 2011, after several years of budget cuts to education from the state.

The district is receiving $437,531 in transportation aid and $3.37 million in special education aid.
