Report Card: Conover Road School Falls Short of State Targets

Conover Road Elementary School fell short of the state target in academic achievement and college readiness, according to the recently released NJ Schools Report Card.
College and career readiness is measured on the elementary level by chronic absenteeism, and Conover Road met 0 percent of its target set by the state. However, the school outperformed 13 percent of its peer group and 38 percent of the state.

The state target for chronic absenteeism, which measures college and career readiness, is 6 percent, and Conover Road came in at 7 percent.
According to the NJDOE, academic achievement measures content knowledge in language arts and math as measured by NJASK scores. Conover Road Elementary met 67 percent of the target.

In academic achievement, the school outperformed 59 percent of the state and 28 percent of its peer group, falling short in the area of students with disabilities.
Conover Road did state targets in student growth, which is measured by the performance of students on standardized tests from one year to the next. The school outperformed 49 percent of its peer group and 46 percent of the state.
In Monmouth County, Conover Road's peer group consisted of Lincroft and Middletown Village schools, and Old Mill in Wall Township.
