Report Card: Dugan Falls Short of NJ Academic Achievement Target
The school met state targets in college and career readiness, and student growth.

Dugan Elementary in Marlboro hit 75 percent of its academic achievement target set by the state, according to the NJ School Report Card.
According to the NJDOE, academic achievement measures content knowledge in language arts and math as measured by NJASK scores.
The school outperformed 20 percent of its peer groups in the category, and 66 percent of the state. The peer group is made up of schools determined to have a similar demographic, including in special education.

According to the report card, Dugan has 120 students with disability, making up 19 percent of its population.
In college and career readiness, Dugan outperformed 90 percent of the state and and 81 percent of its peer group. College and career readiness, which is measured on the elementary level by chronic absenteeism.

Student growth is measured by the performance of students on standardized tests from one year to the next. Dugan outperformed 39 percent of its peer group and 49 percent of the state.
The school did not meet No Child Left Behind targets in language arts literacy. School wide, the pass rate was 74.3 percent while the state target was set at 79.8 percent.
The school met its target in language arts literacy in both Asian and disabled subgroups, however fell short in the white subgroup. Dugan met all of its No Child Left Behind targets in math.
In Monmouth County, Dugan's peer group is made up of Indian Hill in Holmdel, Marlboro Elementary, Middletown Village and Old Mill in Wall Township.
