Road Closures Planned For Marlboro: What You Need To Know

Residents should plan alternate routes due to road closures and construction planned throughout the week.

MARLBORO, NJ — Marlboro residents should make plans for alternate routes due to road closures and construction projects planned for this week.

According to a road construction notice from Marlboro Township, construction will begin Monday night and conclude by end of day on Friday.

Monday, July 15
From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., construction crews will be on Menzel Lane and Union Hill Road between Tennent and Menzel performing pave operations.

The road will be closed during these construction hours, and police will be present.

Tuesday, July 16 & Wednesday July 17
From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., construction crews will be on Buckley Road between School Road East and the Route 18 overpass, as well as on School Road East between Route 79 and Bella Vista Country Club performing mill and pave operations.

Police will be present.

Thursday, July 18 & Friday, July 19
From 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., construction crews will be on School Road East performing mill and pave operations between Brushneck Road and the Colts Neck Municipal boundary.

According to officials, the School Road East construction is part of a larger road project.

The resurfacing of School Road East between Brushneck Road and the Colts Neck border is scheduled to be completed during summer 2024.

Upon issuance of permits from the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, the remainder of the roadway between Brushneck Road and Dutch Lane will be resurfaced in coordination with stream cleaning and other drainage improvements.

School Road East will be closed while the contractor is on site with detours in place, during which time police officers will be on site to assist motorists.

While the scheduled time frame for road work is weather-dependent, every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to residents during this time, according to officials.
