10. Accident Causes Serious Injuries in Marlboro. An accident on April 23 at Route 520 and Valesi Drive in Marlboro led to serious injuries, according to police.

9. Manalapan Woman Indicted on Charges of Jewelry Theft in Marlboro. A Manalapan woman was indicted this week for allegedly receiving stolen jewelry in Marlboro and Freehold Townships. Caitlyn Busalacchi, 21, of Manalapan, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, a third degree crime. 

8. Child Dies After Possible Allergic Reaction to Milk. An 8-year-old boy from Monmouth County died on April 7 after going into cardiac arrest due to a possible allergic reaction, according to South Brunswick Police.

7. Marlboro Financial Planner Sentenced to 10 Years for Fraud. Jordan L. Zemlock, 50, of the Morganville section of Marlboro Township, pleaded guilty in February to a count of theft by failure to make the required disposition of property received, and he admitted cheating his clients out of their investments between Aug. 2009 and March 2012. 

6. Man Killed in Route 9 Car Accident Near Symmes Drive. Arthur Thompson, 70, suffered an unknown medical condition while driving on which caused him to run off of the roadway and strike a tree. While transporting Arthur Thompson to the hospital for treatment he was pronounced dead.

5. Threat Protocol Elevated at Marlboro Memorial in Wake of Boston Tragedy. Marlboro Police evacuated Marlboro Memorial Middle School on April 16 after a "suspicious note" was found in the school. Police Chief Bruce Hall said normal protocol was followed, including calling in K9 units and detectives to sweep the school.

4. Marlboro Parents React to Marlboro Memorial Threat. In the hours after a scare prompted by a suspicious note in Marlboro Memorial School, parents are reacting to the district and township response to the incident. Students were evacuated from Memorial a little after 12 p.m., and the first robocall from the Marlboro Police Department was received around 12:50 p.m.

2. Marlboro Man Fights Bill After Bringing Own Pasta to Restaurant. Jack Litsky wasn't expecting his own box of whole wheat pasta to cost $24 in a Red Bank restaurant. Litsky and his wife Toby are vegans, and have become accustomed to bringing their own box of whole wheat pasta to area restaurants and asking the chef to prepare a meal, according to The Star Ledger.

1. UPDATE: Students Being Bussed Back to Marlboro Memorial Middle School. A "suspicious note" prompted the district to evacuate Marlboro Memorial Middle School shortly after 10 a.m. on April 16, according to Sharon Witchel, a district administrator.
