MARLBORO, NJ — Support for the teen who saved her siblings’ lives in a car fire has soared through a GoFundMe set up to help the family replace school supplies, clothes and technology lost in the fire.

Jennifer Kleinow, the kids’ mother, was at work on Aug. 21 when her daughter called saying she saw black smoke coming from behind their family’s car.

Kleinow’s daughter, 17, managed to wrestle the car into the shoulder of Route 18 after seeing the smoke and got herself and her siblings out of the vehicle shortly before it was engulfed in flames.

As of Friday morning, the family has raised $12,568— triple the fund’s original goal of $4,000.

“We are beyond grateful and in awe of the outpouring of support in such a short time period,” Broome said. “The kindness and generosity shown by everyone are such a comfort and a sigh of relief for Jennifer and her children. Thank you so very much for your part in these blessings.”

Donors have sent their own messages of support for the family as well.

“As a father of four (and two more on the way), I am grateful to hear your precious and irreplaceable children are safe,” Daniel Murphy wrote on the fund’s page. “I’m praying you’ll raise enough funds to receive everything needed.”

“So proud of your older daughter, a new young driver, for her quick thinking and common sense,” Carol Moser wrote. “As a grandmother of two, 18 and 13, this story touched me. I hope you are able to replace the supplies lost and that your children have a successful school year ahead. Good luck to you all!”

One donor, Lorraine Wristbridge, simply wrote “God bless you and your family.”
