Two Colts Neck Women Injured in Late Night Rt. 34 Accident
Wen Jiang of Colts Neck and her passenger Kemi Lin of Colts Neck were involved in an accident in Aberdeen Tuesday night.
Two 23-year-old girls from Colts Neck were injured in a car accident Tuesday night, which temporarily closed a section of Route 34 in Aberdeen Township shortly after 10:30 p.m.
According to Lt. Joseph Cole, a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by Mark Norman, 53, of Aberdeen was attempting to make a left turn into the near . While turning, Norman's Jeep was hit by a 2007 Subaru Legacy, driven by Wen Jiang, 23, of Colts Neck, traveling northbound on Route 34. Jiang had a passenger, Kemi Lin, 23, also of Colts Neck.
The collision caused both vehicles to overturn.

Aberdeen Township Hose and Chemical Company No. 1, South Aberdeen
First Aid and Rescue Squad, and Matawan Borough First Aid Squad all responded to the scene. Norman, Jiang, and Lin were all able to remove themselves from their vehicles, Cole said.
The strip of Route 34 between Lloyd Road and Cambridge Drive remained closed until shortly after 11:45 p.m., when a tow truck removed both vehicles from the scene

Jiang and Lin were transported to Bayshore Medical Center with unknown injuries, according to Cole. Speed and driver inattention were contributing factors to the collision, Cole said, however the accident investigation is ongoing.
